what's AEC?
AEC is Asean Economy Community. It's the biggest chalenge for ASEAN countries for nowadays til the next years.
Suddenly, this news remind me about my essay for last big assignment of English Class in Semester 2.
It's written around half of Mei 2014. Then, I would like to post it now, hehe

Indonesia has the greatest inhabitant of ASEAN members. Through this potential point, Indonesia could take a chance to be more productive country. But, most of Indonesia people are consumptive instead. They prefer to choose the import commodities than goods which are made in domestic although the quality of inner goods is better than outside, they are still more attracted by styles and marks.
The competitive effort for our micro, minor and intermediate entrepreneurship (UMKM) is weak. Based on the Cooperation and Minor-intermediate exertion Ministry (KUKM) research, at the year 2011, micro exertion is 98,82%, the minor is 1,09%, the intermediate is 0,08%, and the large is only 0,01%. That sector result to the domestic products brutto: micro exertion is 29, 74%, the minor is 10, 46%, the intermediate is 14, 53%, and the large gains 45, 27%. The variation of products is not attractive enough. Technology for producing is also left behind from the large companies outside. It shows UMKM does not reach level as expected.
Indonesia human power source is still low. The educational system is not comprehensive yet. There are children who cannot go to school. In this case, schooling is necessary to raise some skills which are useful as the key for trading, such as mathematics, logical thinking, and foreign languages ability. The progress for few sectors is also not optimal yet. The Electric and Electronic Equipment sector shows that sequentially Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and Vietnam just preferable to this archipelagic country. In food sectors, around 26% prepared food categories are not standardized yet for Indonesia.
Besides that, Indonesia will have a general election for president in this July 2014. The concentration for AEC preparation may decrease along that democration party. And a renewal government start to be active around September. We get only a few months to welcome 2015. Since the cabinet is changed, the policy for the five years later would be different from the old one. Many sides concern about this alteration. Because of without an appropriate action for AEC, our home land would be just a delicious victim for other countries.
For the short of time, Indonesia readiness for AEC is not mature yet. Many aspects must be repaired for the government such as infrastructure, bureaucracy reformation, technology supply, economy comprehensive and development process. Our concern is also needed to support Indonesia betterment such as loving our domestic products.
hmmm... it's about an essay 1.5 years past.
and now today is already 2016.
I think our goverment has prepared something to face this AEC.
So do the people in this country such as the college students that already concern for so long.
We just need the real action.
Supporting each others.

In “The Readiness of Indonesians towards the 2015 ASEAN Economic Community: A Review”, Bagus Wicaksena explains that Indonesia is still not ready yet for Asean Economic Community (AEC). AEC is one of programs of ASEAN which is allowed free commerce to all regions of South-east Asia as an important way to overcome global economy. Indonesia is still left behind other countries performance and must be taking an appropriate choise in order to face this challenge. I agree with the author’s opinion for some reasons below.
Indonesia is the biggest country in South-east Asia. It would be an opportunity for Indonesia economic development in AEC. But, the people knowledge about this big event is still lack. Perhaps people in rural areas don’t know about it clearly because of limited communication and information. In the other side, people in urban areas who have known about it seem like not caring much.
